Something to Give for a First Time Parent

Looking for what to give to my friend for her upcoming baby shower, I thought that this Sony Baby Call Nursery Monitor would really be a good choice as she is a first time parent and I am pretty sure she does not really know how tedious it is to monitor an infant 24-7. One of the most tiring part about parenthood especially for babies is during the middle of the night and you are already resting then suddenly the baby cries and you have to wake up fast as there might be something wrong which is usually the baby is hungry or you need to change diapers. A Little Trouble with My Pregnancy

I often feel pretty sick when I get up in the morning. The first trimester of my pregnancy is not really going as planned, which is why I feel like I have to look for some remedies for morning sickness. I know that I am doing the right thing by finding something that can help me be safe and keep healthy. I know that this will soon pass, but for now, any type of help that I can get is going to be great. I love being pregnant, but I just do not love it as much when I feel sick all the time. I know that I am doing the right thing by making sure that I take care of myself. Hopefully, the rest of the pregnancy will be okay. I have always wanted a baby, and there is really no better feeling than this. My husband takes such good care of me too.

The reproductive center was the place we really needed to decide on whether to go to or not. We have been trying to have a child now for a year and this was something we were worried about that would never happen. I have always wanted to be a mother. I love children and I found the most wonderful man and married him and we really want to have a family. We have thought of becoming parents by adopting. Because we both were adopted and had great parents, so we knew how great a situation adoption can be for both the children and the parents. So we did look into adopting and it took about two years, but we were able to adopt a little boy and he is truly a joy in our lives. But we still had thoughts of having our own child naturally. The Joy of Twins

I was quite shocked to find out we were having twins, and we instantly had to shift our focus from regular strollers to what the best double stroller was. There were a number of other questions that had gone unanswered, and we really had to prepare ourselves not only emotionally, but financially to have twins. We learned early on that having children was all about sacrifice, and especially since we ended up having two we learn all about how to sacrifice both our time and our money. This is something that all parents must deal with at one point or another, especially as your children continue to grow, and sometimes the burdens become much greater as they reach into adulthood. The mark of a good parent is always about how much they are willing to sacrifice for their child, and thankfully this is a lesson we got to learn early on with our kids.

My Very Spoiled Niece

My niece drives me absolutely crazy when I take her baby dolls toys shopping, because she is so used to having everything she wants. Her parents are dentists and make a lot of money. However, I don’t have this luxury and cannot afford to buy her everything she wants like they do. I recently took her shopping, and she wanted to buy accessories for her doll. She started filling up her bag with all of these dresses and hats, and little doll shoes. When I told her she could only pick a few of them, she gave me a quizzical look and said my mommy always buys me what I want. I told her I was not her mommy, and that she had to make choices. She was pretty upset with me, and threw a little mini tantrum. It makes me a little upset, but I spent my hard earned money, and she doesn’t appreciate it. However, there really is very little I can do about this.

Why I Loved My Fisher Price Little People Ferris Wheel

When I was around 4 years old, I received a package in the mail. It was a present from my grandparents who lived several states away. Inside was a Fisher Price “Little People” Ferris Wheel! It was one of those wonderful wooden toys that turned when wound up, and played music just like at a real amusement park. This was in 1968 when toys were well made. The little people who rode in the Ferris wheel were wooden, and the ride itself was made of heavy duty plastic with molded parts that really withstood the test of time. I kept that toy for years and it always made me very happy when I played with it. I loved watching the wheel turn and the music play, as a little figure of a man, dressed as an amusement park worker, cranked a handle endlessly at the base of the Ferris wheel. I’m not sure what became of my Ferris wheel. I fear it got discarded many years later after I grew up and moved out of the house. I thought about it when I had my son, and wished I still had it around for him to play with. I did a search on an auction site and found that there are still Ferris wheels just like mine available to purchase. Maybe one day I will buy one and get a little piece of my childhood back.
