I was looking forward to moving back to Austin. We used to live there years ago and we always said that if we ever had the chance to move back, we would. I Just Need to Stay for Awhile

I figured that I might as well look into short term apartment NYC had to offer because I don’t know how long my father is going to be around for. I guess that it just makes a lot of sense for me to be able to be there for him when he passes on, but I think that I will need a place to stay while I am here. It can be from two weeks to two months, and I just think that it is certainly something that I am going to have to deal with. I am quite sad that it is his time, but I think that we will all be okay when we are there for each other. It makes me happy that I can really be there for him, and that my job allows the flexibility for that. I will be living in my own apartment so I can get some work done, and I think that things will be okay.

I am thinking about retiring for real this time, which means that I would like to find some other entity to manage the property I own in Minneapolis and St Paul. In fact that is the business I am in on a small scale. Right now I own a couple of small apartment complexes with two separate groups of investors, about a dozen commercial properties for rent and around 25 rental houses. It is more than enough to keep me busy, but I would like to spend more time down on the lake fishing for walleye and hunting. I have not yet decided when I shall be getting out of it completely or if I shall do it gradually or all at once. The apartments are the biggest headache so I might just sell out my interest in them.
